HJ26 Made-to-Measure Safari Jacket
The safari jacket goes back to the early 19th century, when several European armies adopted it for deployments in the savannah. It then became the explorers’ jacket, before the French couturiers of the 1960s and 1970s turned it into the symbol of relaxed elegance it has remained.
The model keeps its codes: a straight collar, a buttoned front, four bellows pockets with buttoned flaps, a cuff tab and a belt. It is built unlined.
It is a mid-season piece that takes almost any jacketing: linen, cotton or lightweight wool for summer, heavier wool or corduroy for winter.
